There is something so utterly magical about spinning individual, shiny-soft locks of gorgeous fleece, be it mohair, Lincoln lamb, Teeswater, or Wensleydale. The incredibly soft clouds are just heavenly! When you combine this fiber with the gorgeous custom rovings created by my favorite fiber artists, you get a “combo spin” of luxurious color and softness. Then, I like to take just the locks, and spin them by themselves, plying with Japanese kimono silk thread for a sweet coordinating yarn that dances beautifully with the main yarn. This “duet” of artisan yarn is ready and waiting for your next weave or project!
